Now in its eighth year, the Digital Health Hub Foundation Awards has grown into what its organisers describe as the world's leading digital health awards programme — a global benchmark for identifying the companies genuinely transforming how healthcare is delivered, funded and experienced. The 2026 edition will culminate in a ceremony at the HLTH Conference, following the 2025 event held in Las Vegas last November.
The programme's track record speaks to its scale and credibility. Across seven years, the awards have attracted more than 8,500 submissions, producing 1,450 quarterfinalists, 667 finalists and 202 winners and Rising Stars, with $500,000 in grant money distributed along the way. For early-stage companies, the stakes remain tangible: the 2026 Rising Stars competition offers over $250,000 in cash grants, making the awards more than a badge of honour.
For 2026, the Foundation has refreshed its category structure to reflect where digital health is heading. Newly refined categories span prevention, care delivery, affordability, equity and longevity, while notable additions include dedicated AI-focused awards, Dental Health, and Food as Medicine — a signal of how far the sector's boundaries have expanded beyond traditional telehealth and health IT.
The awards sit within a formidable ecosystem. The Digital Health Hub Foundation partners with StartUp Health and draws support from venture capital firms such as 7wire, Bow and BuilderVC, leading health systems including UCSF Health, Penn Medicine and UCLA, and major accelerators like StartX and Techstars. That network matters: for entrants, visibility in front of these institutions can be as valuable as the trophy itself. The Foundation has also launched Civic Health, a new New York City gathering focused on the future of healthcare, extending its convening role beyond the awards.
Submissions for 2026 are now open via the Foundation's awards platform, and the organisation is actively recruiting judges and sponsors alongside entrants. For digital health and AI companies seeking validation, capital and connections on a global stage, the Digital Health Hub Foundation Awards remain one of the sector's most compelling opportunities.
