Inoltre molte Pmi delle scienze della vita sono ancora a conduzione familiare o fondate e gestite direttamente dai founder, con un livello limitato di managerializzazione, sistemi di reporting deboli e strutture di governance non sempre pronte per l’ingresso di investitori.Nel biotech e nell’healthtech, invece, una proprietà intellettuale frammentata o poco chiara – tra licenze universitarie, retaggi del cosiddetto “privilegio del professore” e strategie brevettuali incoerenti – rappresenta un classico “dealbreaker”.
